How to fix a problem with the Mario Cart 8 RC controller that keeps blinking and not working - resolved
My kid's Mario Kart 8 RC car broke down and didn't work, so I fixed it.
The controller keeps blinking and is not working.
I replaced all the batteries with new ones.
Check to see if there is any broken wire inside the car.
It's not a problem with RF receiver antenna.
All wires are well attached.
Suspected battery contact of the car.
The spring connecting the negative pole of the battery has a lot of rust.
Use the multimeter to verify that the voltage of the connected battery is normal.
The rusty spring on the battery cover does not connect the battery properly.
Also check that the battery case attached to the main body is also well connected with two batteries.
Only the rusty spring on the battery cover appears to be a problem.
I tried removing rust with baking soda, but it didn't work out, so I tried again with toothpaste.
It's still rusty, but when I tested it with a multimeter, the battery connection is good.
In many cases, the tension of the spring is weak and the connection to the battery is difficult, so use a screwdriver to pull the spring.
until the tension is high enough.
Insert the battery, close the case, and measure the overall voltage of the battery pack.
The multimeter has a suitable reading of 1.5V x 6.
When I turned on the controller and turned on the car, it became a sink and the LED blinker disappeared.
It's working well!
